About the Right Team Member

The Senior Payments Specialist will primarily support Mindbody’s Strategic Accounts, with additional support for SMB and Mid-Market accounts. This role plays a key part in driving the go-to-market strategy for Mindbody Payments (powered by Stripe). Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting and enabling the Sales team to sell Mindbody.
  • Attaching and onboarding customers to Mindbody Payments.
  • Partnering with Customer Success and Account Management to manage a portfolio of accounts, increase adoption, optimize revenue, and negotiate rates directly with customers.
  • Leading and contributing to payments-related projects across brands and portfolios.
About the Role
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Mindbody’s integrated payments solutions (white-labeled Stripe products)
  • Act as a connector between merchants and Mindbody's internal teams (Sales, Account Management, Onboarding, Support, Product and Engineering, and Leadership)
  • Build merchant trust and loyalty through clear communication, education, and transparency — delivering an exceptional experience at every touchpoint
  • Enable Sales and Account Management teams throughout the sales and renewals process
  • Onboard new customers to Mindbody Payments
  • Deliver internal payments training when needed
  • Negotiate customer rates while upholding pricing integrity
  • Conduct regular data reviews (customer, brand, or portfolio level) to maintain pricing accuracy and identify revenue optimization opportunities
  • Lead and support key strategic projects that align with Mindbody’s payments goals and merchant needs
  • Regularly use tools including Mindbody, Salesforce, Stripe, Looker, Slack, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Perform other duties as needed
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Business, Economics, Math), or equivalent experience
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in payments, account management, or analysis
  • Payments or fintech experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role
