WHOOP is seeking a Senior Product Manager to help drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of features related to our core algorithms (Heart rate, Sleep, Strain, Recovery, etc.). You will work closely with our data science & signal processing teams, other product teams, and our engineering team to identify and prioritize improvements to the algorithms that power the WHOOP experience for our members. You will have the opportunity to work on business critical projects that not only move the needle on key business metrics, but can also significantly improve the member experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate closely with Product Management, Data Science, Signal Processing, Data Analytics, Engineering, and Membership Services to breakdown and prioritize members needs, acting as the ‘voice of the member’Gather customer needs and feedback through frequent research and testingSet a product strategy, roadmap, and measurable goals for your team. Lead data scientists and backend engineers to deliver a member focused experienceContinuously prioritize product opportunities based on impact for our members and business needsContinuously monitor key metrics that help guide product developmentPerform high level analysis to develop business cases for new product ideas/ algorithm changes and to evaluate the success of items delivered Deeply understand the algorithms from WHOOP so that you understand how and why to change them, and present those data-driven changes to stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS:4+ years of experience in product management or other complementary field (e.g. engineering, data science, signal processing)Experience working with algorithms and backend data pipelines, with the ability to understand and interact with highly technical and scientific team members and stakeholdersProven data science or signal processing skills in the wearable space and/or experience with ML & DL algorithms is a plusDeep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, and an ability to synthesize different data to identify and articulate opportunities for the businessStrong product sense and high customer empathy with an ability to envision opportunities that address member needsStrong written and oral communication skills to help communicate learnings and insights clearly to Design, Engineering, Analytics, and other stakeholdersAn entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environmentCurious, positive attitude and passion for the fitness & wellness spaceThis role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
