We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead and prioritize the development of our Big Data and modeling infrastructure. As a key player in a cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with other product managers, data scientists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the efficient and strategic development of our data infrastructure. While an engineering or data scientist background is valued but not essential, this role is suited to an experienced Product Manager who can demonstrate experience partnering successfully with technology teams to develop data product capabilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Ownership:Collaborate with product managers to understand their requirements and prioritize feature development accordingly.
  • Define and communicate the Data Infrastructure product roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Prioritization and Planning:Evaluate incoming requests from various product managers and stakeholders, balancing needs from outside of technology with broader technology initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and prioritize development sprints, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Drive initiatives related to, for example: technical debt reduction, system modernization, and cost optimization - and balance the prioritization of these with incoming requests using sound analysis.
  • Communication and Collaboration:Foster effective communication between product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of prioritization and timelines.
  • Agile and Scrum Expertise:Implement and champion agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, to drive iterative development and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular sprint reviews, retrospectives, and planning sessions.

  • Qualifications:
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.), or equivalent work experience in a technology focused Product role.
  • Proven experience in Product Management, with a focus on data infrastructure and technologies.
  • Familiarity with modern data processing frameworks and tools.
  • Bonus points for experience in the Advertising Technology industryAgile Skills:In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Knowledge of Jira or similar agile project management software is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional, self organizing teams in an agile environment.
  • Bonus points if you have an accredited Scrum certification (e.g. CSM, CSPO).Communication:Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
