Job Responsibilities : The Senior Product Quality Engineer owns quality and reliability excellence across the full product lifecycle — from new product development through mass production.
This is a senior technical leadership role that drives high-stakes qualification activities, leads structured root cause investigations, and delivers deep-dive data analysis to prevent defects before they reach the field.
The engineer serves as a key cross-functional partner, working closely with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer Support to build systemic solutions — not just fix individual issues.
Their influence extends across the supply chain, with direct accountability for contract manufacturer quality oversight and pre-release hardware validation.
As a senior contributor, this engineer brings strong reliability engineering fundamentals and advanced statistical expertise, augmented by AI-assisted analytics to accelerate insight generation, identify failure patterns at scale, and drive more precise, data-driven decisions.
The outcome: more robust products, fewer field returns, and a better experience for the end customer.
Lead and execute design qualification activities to ensure the quality and reliability of new hardware products during development Oversee reliability assessment programmes for products in mass production Collaborate with globally distributed quality teams to ensure product quality and reliability standards are met Partner with engineering teams to develop and implement solutions that enhance product quality Establish, maintain, and continuously improve quality processes for consistent and predictable outcomes Drive ongoing improvements in hardware quality and reliability coverage, accuracy, methodologies, and turnaround time Travel locally and internationally to support qualification and quality-related activities Coach team members on reliability principles, statistical analysis, and qualification processes Manage third-party reliability labs, including personnel and operations Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure successful product qualification against defined milestones Contribute to product knowledge development, reliability modelling, and continuous quality enhancements Collaborate effectively with partner organisations and resolve conflicts where necessary Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening Pre-Requisites : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior reliability engineering role, preferably within the consumer electronics or technology industry.
Hands-on experience supporting Intel-based desktop, notebook, tablet, and computer peripheral products within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of environmental and reliability testing standards, methodologies, and tools.
Experience implementing, maintaining, or managing Quality Management Systems (QMS) and related quality processes.
Solid understanding of system reliability, failure mechanisms, life data analysis, and quantitative accelerated life testing techniques.
Familiarity with experimental design methodologies and statistical analysis concepts.
Strong technical troubleshooting and integrated problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent organisational, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple cross-functional teams.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to positively influence stakeholders and drive outcomes.
Strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
Experience working in Linux, Windows, or PC-based environments, with proficiency in office productivity and automation tools considered an advantage.
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
