Job Description

Senior QA Analyst — Live Games

São Paulo, Brazil  |  Hybrid (3 days/week — Itaim Bibi office)

We're looking for a talented and detail-obsessed Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join Wildlife's Quality Assurance team, focused on our Live Games portfolio.

As a Senior QA Analyst, you will be responsible for estimating, planning, and executing test cases across our live titles — evaluating risks and impact, defining quality strategy, and helping the team grow through knowledge sharing. You will communicate testing demands and quality metrics to both developers and other analysts, owning the bridge between QA and engineering.

This role starts with broad coverage across all Wildlife live games, with the longer-term path of migrating into a single high-impact title as ownership deepens. Professional posture, sharp communication, and influence skills are essential — even though this is not a people-management role, you will interact across multiple disciplines and seniority levels.

The right person for this position is curious by nature, comfortable in a "take the initiative" environment, loves solving problems, and thrives in a fast-paced live operations context where every build matters.

What You'll Do

  • Execute manual testing with a meticulous eye across Wildlife's live games portfolio, ensuring every build meets our quality bar before reaching millions of daily players.
  • Own the end-to-end bug flow: identify, reproduce, write clear bug reports, prioritize based on impact, and decide whether issues go to backlog or require immediate fix.
  • Write, refine, and continuously optimize test cases — leveraging AI tools (Cursor, LLMs) to accelerate case creation and improve description quality at scale.
  • Apply AI-assisted build analysis: compare build A vs build B by analyzing code diffs (via Cursor), identifying changed files, and using structured prompts to surface high-risk areas before testing begins.
  • Hunt corner cases — go beyond the happy path to find edge scenarios that no one else catches, before players do.
  • Deploy builds on physical devices (iOS and Android), validating real-world behavior, performance, and UX.
  • Monitor and analyze post-release quality using Firebase, Crashlytics, and internal QA tooling (QA Hub).
  • Define and evolve quality metrics that engineering and product use to make decisions — not just report them.
  • Collaborate directly with engineering on debugging, prioritization, and release decisions.
  • Provide your team with a quality strategy that supports delivery goals and aligns with Wildlife's overall quality strategy.
  • Advocate for user experience and game quality across product, design, and engineering conversations.
  • Participate as one of the first analysts on new game projects when needed — helping new dev teams establish quality processes and standards from the ground up.

What You'll Need

  • University degree in computing-related fields (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development) — or equivalent practical experience.
  • Previous professional experience in software development or game testing, with at least 2 consecutive years in mobile games or high-cadence live operations environments.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: data structures, networking, concurrency, memory management, and algorithm analysis.
  • Solid command of software testing concepts: testability, escape rate, regression, unit, integration, soak, stress, and test automation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Firebase, Crashlytics, or equivalent crash analytics and monitoring tooling in production environments.
  • Track record of writing, structuring, and optimizing test cases with method — not just executing scripts written by others.
  • Proven ability to identify non-obvious corner cases, with concrete examples of critical bugs you found that others missed.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and validating builds on physical iOS and Android devices.
  • Active use of AI in your QA workflow — Cursor, ChatGPT, Copilot, or equivalent tools applied to code analysis, test case generation, or debugging.
  • Clear technical communication — you can speak the developer's language without losing the quality lens.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with live games at scale (millions of DAU).
  • Track record of creating quality metrics that were adopted by engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Unity, C#, or mobile-native stacks.
  • Experience with mobile test automation (Appium, XCTest, Espresso) — even though this role is primarily manual.
  • Understanding of DevOps tools such as Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, or similar.

More About You

  • You're passionate about games and about software development — and you know how to ensure its quality.
  • You thrive in agile environments and stimulate that mindset in your team.
  • You're creative when solving problems and continuously seek improvements in processes and solutions.
  • You communicate clearly with your team and the broader company to identify issues and align demands.
  • You have the autonomy to recognize current and new priorities, evaluating the impact of their outcomes on the final result.
  • You are professionally postured and exercise influence even outside of formal leadership roles — knowing how to interact with multiple disciplines and higher job levels with credibility.

How We Work

This role is hybrid, with 3 days per week in our Itaim Bibi office (São Paulo). The in-person time is a deliberate accelerator for pair debugging, faster decisions with engineering, and high-bandwidth alignment. The remaining 2 days are remote.
