PlayOn! Sports is looking for a Senior Quality Automation Engineer skilled in Python or JavaScript programming and SQL expertise. You will be responsible for ensuring data quality, feature testing, and API testing of our Payments product. You will play a pivotal role in developing robust data-driven solutions while ensuring seamless data validation processes.

Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role include:

• Writing code to test and validate the business logic encoded in the and other code repositories. 

• The candidate should be able to validate data integrity as per the requirements including data set generation,  parameterized testing, and troubleshoot issues.

• Test back-end API interfaces for the financial platform using Postman, Swagger, and testing frameworks. 

• Build tools that help developers be more productive, write better code and test it themselves.

• Provide a risk assessment on the defects identified and set the correct priority and severity.

• Define the scope and procedures for quality engineering of the application, including the development and maintenance of automated scripts.

• Understanding of how API-driven applications work and interact with other API or microservices environments.

• Over 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance including manual and automated testing

• Over 5 years experience in Data or Automation Engineering (SQL & Python or JavaScript/Typescript)

• Strong Data Validity, Data Integrity & Data format testing experience. 

• Work in an Agile Software Delivery methodology highly focused on developing automated tests.

• Hands on experience with Cloud services like EC2,S3,Athena,Glue for data querying and transformation.

• Involved with preparation, testing and validation of test data in pre-prod environments.

• Understanding of Web frontend & backend technologies, such as JavaScript, Java, APIs, Microservices.

• Proficient with agile tools like Jira, CI/CD, Bitbucket or similar.

• Understands the concepts of data modelling and data cleansing.

• Candidate should be self-starting and able to work autonomously in a fast paced environment.

• Enjoys learning new technologies as needed to excel and be efficient.
