Job Description

FloSports has led the way in establishing a world-class digital streaming experience for millions of fans, families, and athletes of underserved sports. Imagine creating a digital platform that unites the casual fan with the most dedicated spectator, both experiencing thrilling live events from around the world with interactive features, real time analytics, powerful broadcast technology, and more. Combine that with our unique original sports content ranging from breaking news and expert commentary to feature films, documentaries, and multi-episodic series. That’s what FloSports is all about. We have successfully revolutionized the global sports media industry- the result of creating a diverse team of technologists and die-hard wrestlers, creators and devoted cheerleading experts, designers and hockey enthusiasts, communicators and motorsport fanatics, producers and casual sports fans… united by a shared passion to delight the underrepresented communities we serve. We are creating the essential destination for our sports and we’re looking for people like you to help us!

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a creative and dynamic Senior Social Media Specialist to join our content team. This role is crucial for driving engagement across all social media platforms around our biggest events and building an influential brand voice. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in creative social media executions and a passion for sports.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute high-level social media assets that drive audience engagement and brand awareness.

  • Ideate and create compelling content tailored for various social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including marketing, live production, sales, and partner management – to ensure cohesive messaging and brand representation.

  • Learn to love (and love to learn about) the niche-ness of FloSports – dirt track racing, racing, jiu-jitsu, cheer, track and field, hockey, marching, rugby and all college sports.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of content that meets quality standards.

  • Analyze social media metrics and audience insights to refine strategies and improve performance.

  • Work with subject matter experts to produce compelling plans around executions and carry the process through to the finish, which could mean communicating with stakeholders and managing the project, and/or writing, editing, building graphics and simple video production.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep FloSports’ social media accounts on top of their games.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within the sports industry.

  • Proven ability to create engaging social media content that drives audience interaction.

  • Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.

  • Proficiency in basic video production and editing software.

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

OUR COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY:

At FloSports, we are bonded by our passion for sports and our purpose to unite communities around experiences that finally give underserved sports the love they deserve.
