The Application Infrastructure team focuses on building technology that enables rapid user growth worldwide and accelerates product development across our entire software organization. The team builds custom tooling that enables our developers while also maintaining critical Kubernetes and Kafka infrastructure.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Application Infrastructure team, you will be building and directly supporting some of the most critical tools and pieces of infrastructure within the software organization. You will help set the direction of Application Infrastructure to empower WHOOP to grow to the next level, with an essential focus on scalability and reliability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and own applications to both serve customers and internal development teams.Tackle scaling challenges for both user-facing products and internal infrastructure.Shape and develop best practices for software development at WHOOP.Collaborate across software and product teams driving mission-critical initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS:Interest in scaling applications, infrastructure, and products worldwide.Experience gathering feedback from multiple stakeholders and prioritizing work to maximize business impact.Experience developing RESTful applications in Java.Knowledge of Kubernetes administration and containerized environmentsExperience working with distributed systems.Experience working with AWS services and environments.Skillset to develop and mentor best practices in software development.Enthusiasm for the latest and greatest tools and technologies to bring about speed and efficiency to product development
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
