Wargaming USA is looking for a Senior Unreal Engineer to join our World of Tanks Modern Armor team. This role will solve problems and write code across a range of areas crucial to the play experience, including gameplay, systems, graphics and optimization. Lead Software Engineer
Develop and maintain gameplay and related systems in a client/server environment.
Collaborate across disciplines to implement new game features and improvements.
Improve and optimize critical areas of the game like networking, graphics, rendering, editor customization, etc. in accordance with your expertise and abilities.
Assist team leads with engineering task specifications and scheduling.
Work closely with content creators to implement, expand, and maintain game systems for single player or continually updated online titles.
Experience and deep knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, physics, or engineering.
Deep knowledge of the C++ language and commonly used data structures.
5+ years of console or PC game development experience with at least two shipped titles.
Experience programming for current or older consoles or Steam.
Experience with networked multiplayer games.
Ability to write robust, maintainable code.
Excellent knowledge of 3D math.
Strong communications skills.
AAA Studio experience
Experience with Epic's Gameplay Ability System plugin
Experience extending the Unreal Editor
Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)
