About the Role
We are looking for an AI Engineer to build a new AI-powered product that helps gyms and fitness studios grow their business. You'll work with cutting-edge LLMs to create practical features that solve real problems for fitness business owners, owning the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch. This is a rare opportunity to build a high-growth product from the ground up.
What You'll DoDesign and ship AI features end-to-end using LLMs from OpenAI, Anthropic, and other providersBuild scalable Node.js/Fastify APIs for prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and model orchestrationCreate intuitive React/TypeScript interfaces using emerging AI UX patterns (streaming responses, confidence indicators, explainable outputs)Make product decisions that balance technical capabilities with user needs and business growthOptimize for performance, cost, and accuracy across different AI modelsWhat You'll Need3+ years building production applications with Node.js and ReactStrong TypeScript skills and experience with modern web APIsHands-on experience shipping features with LLMs (GPT-4, Claude, etc.)Strong product sense - ability to identify what features will drive growth and retentionExperience with AI UX patterns and making AI outputs trustworthy for usersTrack record of building products that scaled from 0 to thousands of usersPushPress is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace.
