About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in building complex billing systems to join our team at PushPress. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling our mission critical billing platform that processes hundreds of millions in payments every year.
You will leverage your extensive knowledge of Stripe Connect to architect a robust and scalable billing system that supports our multi-sided marketplace. As a technical leader, you will collaborate closely with our product, design, and finance teams to implement innovative payment solutions that drive efficiency and growth for our business and our customers.
What You'll DoArchitect and build a world-class billing platform using Stripe ConnectDesign and implement complex payment flows supporting our multi-sided marketplaceBuild seamless onboarding experiences for gym owners and membersImplement financial reporting and reconciliation systems for accurate revenue trackingEnsure compliance with applicable tax, KYC/AML, and other regulatory requirementsCollaborate cross-functionally to ideate and execute on new monetization opportunitiesMentor other engineers and promote engineering best practicesWhat You'll Need6+ years of software engineering, experience with payment processing, understanding of payment gateways, transaction processing, and different payment methodsStrong understanding of platform business models, marketplace payments, and payout splitting.Knowledge or experience of Stripe Connect's APIs, SDKs, and platform architecture is preferredExperience building complex billing systems for multi-sided marketplacesDeep understanding of payment routing, cross-border payouts, and identity verification flowsKnowledge of regulatory requirements around KYC/AML and tax reporting (1099-K)Strong proficiency in Node.js, React, TypeScript, and REST API designPushPress is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace.
