About this role:

iRhythm is looking for a strong software engineer to join the team in a remote role. As a senior backend engineer on iRhythm’s Software Engineering team you will be working with data from our ECG monitoring devices and data produced by our Deep Learned ECG analysis algorithm and building the back-end system for generation of the clinical reports that go out to medical practitioners. You will also contribute to the end-to-end integration of a cloud-based mobile telemetry ECG monitoring solution for collection, storage and analysis of data to both DynamoDB and MySQL datastores. You will be working with real devices and software making an impact on patients’ lives. Responsibilities include:

• Develop back-end Java services that support clinical analysis and clinical reporting tools.
• Building Java back-end PDF clinical reporting engine (Jasper Reports).
• Design and develop back-end data access using MySQL (Hibernate) and NoSQL (DynamoDB).
• Work with the Clinical and Data Science teams to understand reporting requirements.
• Working with QA to ensure a high-quality output.
• Participate in AWS Cloud Infrastructure using AWS CLI and Terraform and Docker.
• Collaborate with product owners, product designers, and peer engineers as part of a Scrum team.
• Hold design reviews, develop unit tests, participate in peer code reviews.

About You

• 5+ years of Java, object-oriented programming, and software engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud computing, AWS.
• Experience working with MySQL, Hibernate, NoSQL databases, and Spring Boot.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• BA/BS in Computer Science, or related technical field
