• We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Candy Crush Soda Saga.
• In this role, you’ll build the client systems, features, and technical foundations that help teams create polished, scalable player-facing experiences.
• You’ll work closely with product, design, UX, QA, and engineering partners, combining hands-on development with responsibility for technical decisions to solve complex problems in a large-scale C++ codebase.

• Your Role Within the Kingdom Design, build, test, and maintain client-side systems and features in C++ that support polished player experiences.
• Lead technical work from problem definition through implementation, rollout, and iteration, helping turn ideas into reliable solutions.
• Create and evolve reusable client patterns, systems, and foundations that help teams build consistent experiences with less duplication.
• Work closely with product, design, UX, QA, and engineers to translate player and product needs into practical technical plans.
• Improve existing architecture so teams can deliver more complex features efficiently, with strong quality and long-term maintainability.
• Identify trade-offs, risks, and technical constraints early, and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
• Contribute clear, well-structured code to a large live game codebase, with attention to performance, reliability, testing, and maintainability.
• Support adoption of shared systems through documentation, examples, collaboration, and day-to-day technical guidance, including code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Help define how features and systems should work together from both technical and player experience perspectives.
• Use a tech stack centered on C++ for client development, with exposure to mobile game development, UI systems, and client-side performance considerations.
• Skills to Create Thrills Experience building and delivering production software in C++, ideally in a large or evolving codebase.
• Experience owning systems or features from technical design through delivery and iteration.
• Experience collaborating across disciplines such as product, design, UX, QA, and engineering to ship player-facing features.
• Knowledge & Skills Solid knowledge of C++ and sound engineering fundamentals in architecture, maintainability, testing, and performance.
• Ability to work through complex technical problems, using sound judgment to choose practical approaches and trade-offs while collaborating with others.
• Ability to design reusable systems, patterns, tools, or APIs that support other developers and improve how teams build features.
