Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment is a pioneering firm dedicated to advancing the business of women’s sports. As a Senior Strategist sitting within the firm’s Agency Services vertical, you will drive the development of impactful marketing strategies for brands seeking to engage in the growing world of women’s sports. This role demands a unique blend of market insight, business acumen, and a passion for women's sports to help drive measurable results for our clients. You will leverage deep insights into women’s sports fandom, media trends, and sponsorship opportunities to craft purposeful plans that position our clients as leaders in the dynamic space of women’s sports.

This role will be working out of our NY office 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day development of comprehensive marketing strategies and execution plans that help clients achieve business objectives through meaningful involvement in women’s sports.
  • Analyze market trends, fan behavior, and audience data to uncover insights and identify authentic connection points for brands within the women’s sports community.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Strategy Director and work alongside Account, Partnerships, Creative, and Media teams to ensure strategies align with client objectives and maximize impact.
  • Craft clear, focused creative briefs and partner RFPs that inspire innovative brand actions, ensuring strategic alignment with client goals and driving brand affinity and business results.
  • Stay at the forefront of trends in women’s sports, including media coverage and fan engagement tactics, offering clients strategic insights to capitalize on these opportunities for business growth.
  • Act as a trusted thought-partner to clients and internal teams by helping define and shape the brand’s strategic roadmap in women’s sports, ensuring it delivers actionable strategies and drives business outcomes. 
  • Lead client presentations and strategic sessions that demonstrate the value of clients’ investment in women’s sports.
  • Play a key role in business development by developing compelling strategies that showcase how brands can successfully engage with women’s sports through sponsorships, media, and partnerships.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in brand, marketing and/or campaign strategy; prior advertising/marketing agency experience is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for women’s sports, including an understanding of fan behaviors, media consumption, and the broader business landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop strategies across brand marketing, advertising, media and/or partnership environments that drive business growth and brand value.
  • Ability to provide data-driven insights that align brand investments with consumer behavior and market opportunities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build narratives that resonate with both clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to foster trusting relationships with clients and teammates across functions.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with brands or organizations that invest in sports sponsorships or seek to build a presence in women’s sports.
  • Familiarity with women’s sports leagues (WNBA, NWSL, etc.) and the key drivers of growth in the industry.
  • Strong understanding of sports sponsorships, media rights, and partnership activation.
  • Experience analyzing the business impact of campaigns and optimizing strategies for greater ROI.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Salary is determined based on a wide range of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, job duties, and geographic location.
