We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Engineer with a strong background in Tanium, experience managing both Windows and Linux operating systems, and optional experience with Logicmonitor. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in system engineering, problem solving, and possess a fundamental knowledge of operating system security.
Tanium Administration:
Design, implement, and manage Nielsen’s on-prem and cloud Tanium infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Conduct regular system health checks and troubleshoot issues related to Tanium.
Optional Logicmonitor Expertise:
Utilize Logicmonitor to monitor and maintain the health and performance of IT systems (optional, if applicable).
Implement and customize Logicmonitor solutions to meet specific organizational requirements.
Operating System Management:
Demonstrate proficiency in both Windows and Linux operating systems. Execute system upgrades, patches, and ensure the stability of operating systems across the environment.
Desktop Operations:
Oversee desktop operations of security software, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with end users to resolve desktop-related issues promptly.
OS Security Expertise:
Implement and maintain fundamental security measures for both Windows and Linux environments.
Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct regular security audits, and recommend improvements.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in system engineering roles.3+ years of experience in Tanium administration. Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems. At least basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, VisualBasic)Optional experience with Logicmonitor. Strong understanding of desktop operations. Basic knowledge of OS security measures and best practices.SkillsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Excellent, clear documentation (examples needed) Project management experience is a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g., Tanium Certified, Logicmonitor Certified) are highly desirable.
