The People Team at Roblox focuses on creating a sustained competitive advantage by evolving what we do in the people space (culture, leadership practices, organization, programs, etc.) into a thoughtful, integrated, low-friction "people operating system". We want to inspire people at Roblox to take on challenging problems and allow them to find unique solutions while providing what is needed to accelerate their development, and one of the systems that the People team relies on most is Workday.

In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager of the HR Systems team.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex integrations between Workday and various external/internal systems using Workday Integration Tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, Cloud Connect, etc.)
  • Serve as the first point of contact for Workday integrations at Roblox driving consistency & scalability within the Workday support team
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation on all data feeds to and from Workday
  • Assist the Compensation Programs team with designing integrated workflows within Workday
  • Track existing integrations and create systems to track failures and automate first response
  • Research integration failures, perform root cause analyses, and report back to management and business leaders. Develop plans to mitigate and avoid future system issues
  • Provide guidance to data engineers on best practices for data extraction and analysis

You have:

  • 3+ years of practical Workday integration administration experience including responsibility for system configuration, access management, testing, and providing user support
  • At least 1 full Workday Implementation as a technical resource
  • A deep understanding of calculated fields and custom reporting
  • Exposure to Workday Advanced Compensation, Payroll, or Core HCM
  • In-depth understanding of Workday's data model, business processes, and security features
  • Experience with EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, Python or other integration technology
  • Advanced skills with Workday integration technologies such as EIB, Document Transformation, and Workday Studio
  • Experience with various integration patterns, protocols, and data formats
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or experience in a similar technical field

  • Passionate around processes and operational efficiency within your subject matter expertise
  • Interested in finding out the root cause of any problem and excited to share these details with a larger team
  • Excited about building reports that highlight process and data quality issues
  • Very knowledgeable around common Integrations patterns in the HCM space
  • A strong technical communicator able to lead teams across the company and organization to align on simple effective solutions to complex business problems.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$177,700$226,450 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
