Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior C++ Server Programmer to work on World of Warship Blitz.

Reports To

Lead Programmer, World of Warship Blitz

What will you do?

•    Work with game designers, artists, and other stakeholders, support existing systems and create new ones in C++.
•    Work with game client programmers, integrate the game client with the game servers.
•    Program, debug  and optimize codes to implement the game features.
•    Analyzing and understanding existing systems and features of the game to implement new requirements by improving the existing systems.
•    Integrate SDKs with the game.
•    Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development.

What are we looking for?

•    5+ years experiences of C++ development.
•    3+ years experiences of C++ game server development.
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science.
•    Familiarity with the C++ open-source Skynet server framework or other server frameworks. Familiarity with Skynet will be a preference.
•    Familiarity with the operation in Linux system. Knowledge of Linux performance optimizing. Knowledge of using gdb to debug.
•    Familiarity with operations in databases such as MySQL, Redis, MongoDB, or other common databases.
•    Familiarity with C++11 standard. Knowledge of C++14/17/20 will be a plus.
•    Familiarity with common algorithms.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

•    Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as Lua, Python, PHP, Golang, Rust, Erlang, etc.
•    Familiar with implementing microservices using web APIs.
•    Excellent communication and expression skills, clear logical thinking, and strong teamwork.
•    Experience in architecture.
•    Experience in server performance optimization and daily operations and maintenance.
