THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a SMB Success Senior Manager to our Client Success team in São Paulo

The Customer Success area is a strategic department within the SaaS model, acting as the bridge between onboarding and long-term retention. This specific role is part of a brand-new structure focused on the SMB (Small and Medium Business) segment, specifically targeting Tier 3 and Tier 4 clients. This team will provide a proactive, differentiated touch to mid-sized accounts to prevent churn and ensure account growth.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead and coach a team of Retention Specialists within the SMB segment, driving a high-performance culture focused on contract renewals and churn mitigation;
  • Execute the retention strategy by managing the end-to-end renewal cycle, ensuring the team hits monthly and quarterly retention targets;
  • Identify at-risk accounts through data analysis and oversee the implementation of "save" plans to prevent cancellations;
  • Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to ensure a seamless handoff and a unified approach to the client’s commercial lifecycle;
  • Optimize the renewal process, identifying bottlenecks in the negotiation phase and implementing more efficient workflows;
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities during the retention process to not only save accounts but increase their Lifetime Value (LTV);
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Net Retention Rate (NRR) and Churn Rate, providing detailed reports to leadership;
  • Refine negotiation playbooks, equipping the team with the tools and arguments needed to handle objections and demonstrate the value of Wellhub;
  • Conduct regular 1:1s and coaching sessions to develop the team's commercial skills, negotiation techniques, and resilience;
  • Act as an escalation point for complex commercial negotiations, directly engaging with high-value SMB clients when necessary;

Who You Are

  • Proven experience in leadership roles within Sales, Account Management, or Customer Success, specifically focused on retention and renewals;
  • Strong background in SMB commercial dynamics, understanding how to manage high volumes of accounts effectively;
  • Expertise in negotiation and objection handling, with a track record of meeting or exceeding retention KPIs;
  • Solid team management skills, with a passion for coaching individual contributors and fostering a collaborative environment;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use CRM data (like Salesforce) to forecast renewals and identify churn trends;
  • Advanced English is required (you will collaborate with global teams and report on local performance);
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing both internal stakeholders and external decision-makers;
  • Nice to have: Experience in SaaS environments and certifications in Sales Methodologies (e.g., SPIN Selling, Challenger Sale) or Customer Success.
