Job Description

We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!

We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people that want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Requirements

Who we’re looking for

As the Social Content Lead at Runna, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's identity, driving user engagement, and expanding our reach. You will lead a dynamic marketing team (currently a graphic designer and social media exec), and collaborate closely with the broader term to deliver amazing cross-functional content.

Channels you will own/collaborate on:

  • Instagram (>130k followers), TikTok, Strava, LinkedIn, Youtube, Facebook, In-Apps, Emails, Community, Twitter, Google Business

Your role will include:

  • Campaign Strategy: Own our campaign and posting strategy across all of our channels above to grow our brand by inspiring and informing our (future) followers, ultimately leading to app downloads
  • Content: Leading our content team to produce the most engaging, viral and educational content - across Graphic Design, Photography and Videography
  • TikTok: Leading our TikTok strategy to become one of the leading TikTok accounts for running - this one gets a special callout as it’s such a big channel focus for us!

About You

  • You’re low ego - you’re here to collaborate and work with the team
  • You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it’ attitude)
  • You’re organised and efficient.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You’re fun and (hopefully!) like running!
  • You’re London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Benefits

We offer a salary of £40k - £60k+ (depending on experience), plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.

We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:

- Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days from our office in Vauxhall)

- Salary reviews every 12 months or whenever we raise more investment

- 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays

- A workplace pension scheme where we pay 3%, if you pay 5%

- A brand new Macbook, a running watch of your choice, and anything else you need to do your best work

- Enhanced family care policy (3 months fully paid leave when a new Runna joins the family, fertility support & other benefits)

- An hour slot each week (during work time) to do a Runna workout

Interview process

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Kick off! Apply here!
  2. Introductory chat (30 minutes video call with Katie)
  3. Campaign deep-dive (45 minutes video call with Katie + Ben) You’ll be asked to prepare a campaign plan for our Instagram page and a bi-weekly posting strategy
  4. Content deep-dive (45 minutes video call with Hayden + Dom) You’ll be asked to choose a seperate Instagram page & TikTok you’d like to critique and review!
  5. Office visit, meet the team and TikTok deep-dive (60 minutes in-person with Katie + Ben)
