As a Nielsen’s Measurement Standards and Compliance (MSC) Software Developer, the primary focus includes developing data sets to assess quality and timeliness in our internal executions and client deliverables as well as to facilitate internal and external audit deliverables. A strong candidate must be able to work closely with Operations, project managers, architects, other developers, DBA’s and the business stakeholders to develop the solutions and have flexibility to work with others across multiple time zones. This requires a self-managed strongly technical candidate that can take special projects from inception to completion.
Requirements:
Experience with various development software, tools, platforms and technologies: Alteryx, Tableau, PostgreSQL, Databricks, Spark, SQL and Python
Support maintenance of existing software solutions
Collaborate with department members to develop, test and validate code revisions
Create and modify computer programs as necessary for external and internal audit requirements
Identify and evaluate data extractions for operational efficiency
Ability to summarize, document, and communicate software modifications to audiences of varying levels of subject matter expertise
Stay abreast of developments implementation techniques and/or methodologies and changing technologies in the marketplace and proactively identify applications of these latest developments to improve existing solutions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming or related field
2 - 5 years of related experience
Software development experience using Alteryx, Tableau, PostgreSQL, SQL, Python (plus)
Experience with big data technologies and platforms (e.g., Databricks, Spark)
