Job Description

Voldex is a leading gaming studio with a focus on the UGC (user-generated content) space. We are home to several of Roblox's top games, including Brookhaven, Driving Empire and NFL Universe Football. About the Role:

Voldex is looking for engineers  to develop content and features that delivering richer, deeper gameplay experiences for our users on Roblox.  As a part of the Roblox game team, you will be providing fun experiences to millions of users! You will have the opportunity to partner closely with our highly-skilled team of artists, designers, engineers, analysts and more. While this is an engineering role, we believe good ideas can come from anywhere and encourage everyone to contribute their diverse perspectives to game design discussions! 

What You'll Do:

  • Write clear, clean, and efficient game code

  • Collaborate with other disciplines (production, art, design, etc) to define and develop in-game features for current and upcoming titles

  • Contribute to the development of new in-game features and bug fixes

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or related field

    • OR equivalent professional work experience in the games industry

  • Two or more years experience developing content and features for games

  • Prior experience working within a Game Engine (Unreal, Unity, Roblox Studio, etc)

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

  • Ownership mentality

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience building and maintaining live-service, mobile, or F2P titles

  • Prior development experience on the Roblox platform

  • Knowledge of the Lua(u) scripting language

  • Game jams, game modding, and passion projects related to game making
