We are now looking for an experienced Solution Manager to join our team at our Oulu site to manage and continually improve the manufacturing processes, increase level of automation and manufacturing methods of Oura products. As a Solution Manager you will feel equally comfortable working hands-on at the factory floor as you are in planning and leading various development projects.

You will contribute to product design for manufacturing (DFM) and lead developing and implementing solutions that improve manufacturability, product quality, and manufacturing capacity. You will work and collaborate closely with contract manufacturers, manufacturing equipment suppliers as well as the members of internal Supply Chain and R&D HW teams.

What You will do:

  • Apply your knowledge and contribute to product design for manufacturing, assembly process, and tooling. Deal with equipment suppliers to find and develop solutions.
  • Develop and deploy automated processes machines from early design phase to factory implementation in cooperation with external partners and internal teams to increase level of automation to Oura products.
  • Make concept design and selectively also actual design of machines for manufacturing.
  • Plan your activities in the interface of Oura R&D Programs and factories. Ensure manufacturing readiness, timely execution of prototype builds, and successful factory ramp ups.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information: e.g. capacity calculations, labour times, equipment costs and lead times.
  • Support and monitor Oura manufacturing at contract manufacturer sites; facilitate problem solving and remove obstacles and bottlenecks.

We would love to have You on our team if You have:

  • Strong design skills with SolidWorks or similar 3d mechanics design SW.
  • Proven track record working in/with consumer electronics manufacturing. Hands on experience of electronics assembly processes, automation, and collaboration with factories.
  • Strong and relevant background in designing manufacturing automation for assembly and material handling processes for consumer electronics products.
  • Strong background in contributing to product design (DFM), design of manufacturing tooling and manufacturing equipment.
  • Good project management skills in Manufacturing development projects.
  • Systematic and organized way of working. You effectively identify and set priorities for the tasks at hand.
  • Experience in scaling manufacturing lines from proto series to high mass production volumes and managing production capacity and capacity utilization.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process parameters and statistical process control as well as experience in developing and fine-tuning process control methods and improving yields.
  • You work collaboratively and effectively in a complex environment and with cross-functional teams, external parties, and factories.
  • Possibility and willingness to travel.
