The Solutions Architect for the Government and Defense vertical will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing scalable solutions that address the unique needs of government and defense organizations. This role requires a deep understanding of wearable technology, government regulations, and security protocols, as well as the ability to translate complex requirements into effective, user-centric solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, hardware and software engineering, sales, and marketing, to design and deliver tailored solutions for government and defense clients.Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for WHOOP solutions within the Government and Defense vertical.Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze needs, and develop detailed solution architectures that align with WHOOP product capabilities.Lead technical discussions and presentations with government and defense clients, showcasing the WHOOP value proposition and addressing any technical concerns or questions.Engage with strategic partners to architect integrated product solutions and featuresDeliver technical demonstrations and pilots as well as create custom prototypesEnsure solutions meet rigorous security, compliance, and regulatory standards specific to the government and defense sectors.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to inform solution development and maintain our competitive edge.Support the sales team in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other proposal requests by providing technical insights and documentation.Develop and maintain comprehensive solution documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and integration guides.Assist in the onboarding and training of government and defense clients, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption of WHOOP’s solutions.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role, with a focus on US defense and/or intelligence customers.In-depth knowledge of wearable technology, IoT, and related software and hardware systems.Strong understanding of government and defense regulations, security standards, and compliance requirements.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience with cloud platforms (esp. AWS) and modern software development practices.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance, if required.
