As the General Manager of Hawk-Eye Innovations for South APAC you will be joining one of the most innovative sports technology businesses in the world and you will play a vital role as we embark on an ambitious growth journey with the ultimate goal of “Pioneering & Inspiring Change in Sport”.

Reporting to the Head of Growth Sports, your wide-ranging role will see you lead our operational business, collaborating with our Senior Management in order to create strategic growth in the region. You will strive to ensure operational delivery is faultless across the region and ensure the team's implementation is of the highest standard for our clients. You will ensure the profitability of our South APAC business through building and nurturing client relationships across the sporting spectrum. You will create an amazing work environment for your teams and lead with integrity, enthusiasm and passion at all times.
Operations:
Acting as General Manager across South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. .
Create an environment that enables our people and technologies to succeed, championing the Hawk-Eye Guarantee
Work with the SMT to identify and implement the strategic direction of all managed services
Continually review the operational model, striking the right balance between efficiency, client satisfaction, operational excellence and profitability
Fully understand the contractual agreements and SLAs with clients, and ensure that they are delivered in full
Ensure the teams are equipped and capable of delivering on all contractual agreements and expectations from clients
Work with the PMO to implement projects, ensuring that new and improved technologies are delivered successfully
Ensure resource levels are appropriate for future growth, and utilise the current and regional resource strategically
Find new ways of working that give us operational efficiencies, including the use of technology
Manage any issues arising from operations and proactively minimise their effect on the client and the team, briefing senior management where appropriate
Maintain a solid understanding of the core technology to ensure it’s delivered most effectively across the region
Work with the product team to identify areas for improvements in the development of the technology, as well as input into ideation sessions
Working with the hardware/R&D function to build in operational insights to create the most effective hardware solutions
Strategic Growth & Business Planning:
Identify, pursue and drive the medium and long term growth across the region
Take full accountability to deliver on the strategy, including annual budget, and where possible, drive to exceed it
Fully accountable for the profitability of S.APAC including revenue, GP, and OP
Analyse operational models, commercials and profitability of each of the existing contracts and new opportunities
Work with the commercial team for the development of business opportunities across S.APAC for Hawk-Eye Innovations, and the wider Sony Sports business
Collaborate with commercial teams to deliver major pitches in each region using a clearly aligned business case and brand positioning
Understand new and existing customers’ strategies to develop solutions to meet each sports strategic needs
Find new applications for existing technologies across all sports, and potentially other sectors and industries
Work with the Innovations Team to seek, build and deliver on new business ideas across all sports and products within S.APAC, support innovation and ideation
Client Relationships:
Manage major client relationships within S.APAC
Build the reputation of Hawk-Eye, Pulselive and Sony
Work with the commercial function to bring all contracts to point of closure
Support the brand to be the number one provider in the region to ‘all’ technology in sport
Leadership:
Build successful and productive relationships with teams in the regions, including functions within HQ
Continue to build an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
Where suitable, delegate responsibilities and support the work of the teams, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
Empower team members with the skills to advance their careers, supporting professional and personal development
Conduct regular performance reviews to support staff development
Work with the HRBP to build and implement people strategy fit for our future business.
Work with HRBP to ensure talent management and talent development programmes are in place
Care for the health, safety and welfare of your people
An excellent track record in a senior leadership role
Superior knowledge of diverse business functions and principles
Excellent organisation and leadership abilities
Outstanding communication and people skills, embracing our values and culture
Proven ability to plan and manage complex operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity
Experience in managing at scale with a large operational headcount
Ability to streamline and implement new structures that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands
Experience of working across a global business within multicultural working environment, preferably including APAC
