Role Brief:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled HCPC and/or CORU-registered Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) or Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental team. 
This is a remote-first role, focusing on delivering neurodiversity assessments for children (7+) and adults, primarily within Autism and ADHD diagnostic pathways. 
The successful candidate will be trained in ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised), with experience delivering assessments via digital platforms. 
You will work in a neuroaffirmative and strengths-based way, contributing to meaningful diagnostic formulations and providing accessible, person-centred recommendations. 

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, remote ND assessments as part of Autism and ADHD diagnostic pathways for children (7+) and adults.
  • Administer and interpret ADOS-2 and ADI-R assessments in a virtual setting.
  • Provide clear, sensitive, and accessible feedback to individuals and families.
  • Adapt communication and assessment tools to suit different age groups and needs.
  • Collaborate with psychologists, OTs, SLTs, and other clinicians to ensure a thorough multidisciplinary formulation.
  • Produce high-standard written reports, presenting complex information in a clear and practical way.
  • Ensure safeguarding, risk, and clinical governance standards are upheld in all work.
  • Support the Clinical Lead with service quality improvement, outcomes monitoring, and feedback review.

Requirements

  • HCPC or CORU registration in Speech and Language Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum 1 year post-registration experience, with at least 1 year of delivering neurodiversity assessments.
  • At least 2 years’ experience working with neurodivergent people.
  • Formal training and competence in ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Experience delivering assessments and feedback remotely to both children and adults.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce comprehensive, meaningful reports with recommendations.
  • Knowledge of NICE guidance and DSM-5/ICD-11 criteria for autism and ADHD.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team and liaising with external stakeholders (e.g., schools, social care, health services).
  • Strong skills in safeguarding, confidentiality, and clinical governance.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain complex information to families and professionals.
Desirable:
  • Supporting individuals and families following diagnosis.
  • Experience in SpLD assessments (dyslexia, dyspraxia, etc.).
  • Experience working in multicultural contexts, including with interpreters.
  • Knowledge of intellectual disability and co-occurring conditions.
  • Involvement in service evaluation, audit, or research

Your profile
  • Have a qualification in Speech and Language Therapy, or Occupational Therapy that allows you to practice in Ireland
  • Are CORU registered
  • Have current registration with the relevant professional body 
  • Have completed training in the use of the ADI-R and ADOS-2
  • Have at least a year of experience of delivering neurodiversity assessments
  • Have excellent report writing skills
  • Would like to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Would like to work in a neuroaffirmative and neuroinclusive way
  •  Are comfortable and confident working remotely online
