Let’s start with the role 

The Sponsorship Activation Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing initiatives related to our Sponsorships’ assets (e.g. annual calendar, BTL activations, sports marketing promotional campaigns, contests).

As a Sponsorship Activation Manager, you will:
  • Create and maintain an annual activation and implementation plan/schedule for the existing sponsorship assets, ensuring relationships and contracts are accomplished;
  • Lead and execute all activations for the sponsorship deals secured in Greece & Cyprus;
  • Participate in the development of annual sponsorships’ activations plan;
  • Be Responsible for the execution, in specific time and quality, of sponsorships’ related activations (e.g. BTL activations in stadiums);
  • Be the main contact point with sponsorship partners to organize and set up all the necessary logistics for campaigns and/or activation execution;
  • Design and execute specific contests with sponsorships’ sponsorships-related giveaways (e.g. Social Media contests);
  • Follow up on sponsorship activation strategies and key performance metrics;
  • Oversee budget implementation against targets;
  • Support the Social Media team for Sponsorships related content on our SoMe channels;
  • Support the Marketing team in developing sponsorships related to 360 campaigns;
  • Monitoring competition.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant working experience in sponsorships and/or sports marketing;
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the global sports environment and sports activation including events, media, marketing rights, content, etc.;
  • Experience in managing commercial sponsorship/partner relationships;
  • Solid network within sports and sports rights community is considered a plus;
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; 
  • Liaising with all levels of the wider business teams across the organization;
  • Data-driven mentality and confidence in business decisions based on performance data;
  • Innovative thinking, creativity and fresh ideas;
  • Show team spirit while also being able to work independently on a project.
