Major League Baseball’s Japan office is seeking a seasonal intern to assist the Sponsorships Department with the responsibility of growing MLB’s business in the Japanese market. This is an excellent opportunity for students with interest in sports marketing, intellectual property, and sponsorships.

This position is based in Tokyo (Minato-ku), with a three-month minimum term requiring a commitment of at least three commute days per-week. This position is non-remote.  

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with potential sponsor research and analysis of sponsorship activations.
  • Deliver ideas and proposals for how potential and pre-existing clients can maximize their value from partnering with Major League Baseball.
  • Support the creation of proposals and reports, mainly through research, content collection, and translations.
  • Administrative assistance including shipping, taking phone calls, and general management of the office space.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in a university program eligible for a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Baseball fan strongly preferred
  • Language Proficiency: English = Native / Japanese = Native

Pay Range: A JPY 50,000 monthly stipend for commuting and meal costs will be provided to interns that fulfill the minimum number of commute days.
