Job Summary

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer provides technical development support for assigned business units with the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of automated Power BI reports, dashboards and visualization projects that provide actionable insights into business performance and end-to-end Business Intelligence function. The incumbent will develop a deep understanding of AEG's data, across the different entities and support these teams with the development of SQL based queries and design of complex data models and Business Intelligence reporting where required. The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will supervise and manage Business Intelligence Developers. The incumbent will be responsible for vetting designs for proper user experience, insuring queries are effectively written for accuracy and speed, as well as creating visualizations that align with the requirements.

Essential Functions

• Design, engineer, QA and maintain new and existing SQL queries, SQL stored procedures and SQL functions from data housed in AEG Global Partnership’s Microsoft Dynamics CRM environment to provide users with Power BI visual insights, analysis for business performance, client negotiations and pitches.
• Engineer complex data models, combining and consolidating various data sources to create a single data set that is usable down stream.
• Supervise other reporting and visualization analysts by providing direction on tasks, assisting with issue resolution and provide mentoring.
• Create and build role access to ensure appropriate security and use of data by designated users.
• Work with end users to create visualizations that provide insightful user experiences.
• Collaborate with department management to research, communicate and resolve Power BI report and dashboard issues by investigating source data, SQL queries, SQL stored procedures and functions for Global Partnerships, Business Intelligence, Data Platforms, Customer Relationship Management and other internal business units to ensure Power BI reports, dashboards and analysis are accurate.
• Develop and design Power BI reports, dashboards and visualizations that not only use SQL queries but also Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), and the Power Query M language techniques.
• Present Power BI visualizations, reports, dashboards and analysis for various AEG business units as well as communicate with managers and end-users the identified opportunities, patterns and threats.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) In Computer Science, Data Science/Analysis, Business Intelligence/Analytics, Mathematics, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field
• 6-8 years related technical experience
• Experience with dashboard/report building and visualization experience in Power BI, Tableau, Looker or equivalent data visualization software.
• Experience in efficient data modeling techniques and/or semantic data modeling cloud technologies like Azure Analysis Services.
• Experience managing visualization engineers and data analysts
• Proficient in data transposition techniques using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and leveraging a single semantic model in multiple reports
• Proficient in Azure DevOps and Git or equivalent code commitment technologies to document, commit, push and pull T-SQL code
• High level proficiency in writing, analyzing, diagnosing and resolving advanced SQL queries, SQL stored procedures and functions and accessing data from Azure Synapse or SQL Server or Microsoft Dataverse that will be used in Power BI reports
• Ability to manage, manipulate and analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations using technology
• Possesses a balance of an analytical personality coupled with strong collaborative, communication, written and executive presentation skills
• Experience in the live sports and entertainment industry is preferred 

Pay Scale: $128,636 - $140,000

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
