About the right team member

You will lead the design team that is responsible for helping our customers grow their business through seamless booking experiences and growth tools. This includes our Mindbody Marketplace app, white label booking platform, messaging, and CRM/marketing tools.  

This role collaborates across departments to ensure our experiences are best in class, requiring someone with passionate leadership, a sharp eye for design, and ability to lead a team towards a long-term vision. We are at a pivotal time at Mindbody where designers provide a critical voice into the strategy of our product - and we need a passionate leader who is ready to take the world’s #1 wellness platform through a revolutionary new chapter. 

This is a fully remote role, reporting directly to the Head of Design in the Product Organization.

Responsibilities

• Mentorship - Grow and lead a team of product designers, guiding them through complexity and utilizing the strengths of your team to drive impact. 
• Get to the lowest level of detail - Ability to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details, getting into the work when needed.  
• Product Leadership - Co-create roadmaps that help our customers grow their business and obtain new clients. 
• Thought Partnership - Build strong partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to establish a shared vision, strategy, roadmaps, metrics, and goals. 
• Hiring - You'll partner with our recruiting team to find, attract, interview, and hire new designers for your team, across the US and Latin America. 
• Keep a high bar - being the champion for product and design excellence.  
• Operations - Contribute to the operations of growing design organization. In many ways we operate like a start-up within an established organization, so we’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to how we work.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in product design with 2+ years managing designers. 
• Experience in consumer, marketing, and growth tools. 
• Portfolio with case studies demonstrating your principles, methodologies, and approach.  
• Strong customer advocacy with a penchant for data and business-informed design. 
• Strong design craft, an expert in Figma and modern design standards. 
• Exemplary critical thinking and creative problem solving.

The goal of Mindbody’s compensation program is to be transparent, attract potential employees, meet the needs of all current employees, and encourage Team Members to stay with our organization.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.

The base salary range for this position in the United States is $161,000 to $242,000. The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
