Content & Thought Leadership empowers our brand’s growth, visibility and reputation through a broad range of editorial content presenting fresh thinking and expert points of view underpinned by robust data. This role leads the global content strategy and editorial output for Gracenote including thought leadership reports, insights articles, executive bylines, social media initiatives and email marketing campaigns for dissemination through owned, earned and paid channels. Collaborating with all areas within the marketing-communications organization, the content strategist ensures that content serves two primary objectives: corporate brand reputation building and lead generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Engage and grow Gracenote’s audiences through clear, insightful data-supported content intended to drive full funnel marketing initiativesDevelop and maintain a scalable, insights-focused content strategy that establishes Gracenote as a thought leader on emerging industry trends/topics and elevates the brand in the specific areas of content distribution, development and discovery Partner with growth marketing on content marketing strategies that support key growth areasWork with internal stakeholders across product and data teams to uncover new data-informed insights that resonate with and further engage target client segmentsDevelop long-form thought leadership reports and white papers that highlight Gracenote data and insights 2x per yearPartner with communications to raise the visibility of Gracenote leaders by developing byline articles and opinion pieces for earned and paid media opportunitiesElevate Gracenote leadership by creating a cadence of short-form insights articles and blog posts for the website that position Gracenote as subject matter experts in distribution, development and discoveryPartner with the social media team to ensure accurate, timely and on-target content for the company’s social media platforms Partner with the Owned Digital Team to support as needed externally facing contentDevelop and foster new content initiatives, such as video, long-form HTML-based research, executive interviews and audio content as aligned with the overarching content strategyManage companywide editorial calendarServe as ambassador for corporate style guide in externally facing content QUALIFICATIONS:10+ years of editorial experience writing about media and technology companies and trendsAbility to distill complex topics and data to generate impactful narrativesOutstanding written, oral and project management skillsMotivated self-starter with ability/confidence to work independently, and as part of a teamProven ability to manage multiple projects, programs and priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environmentExperience working with designers to develop compelling visuals to support written contentGenuine curiosity about industry trends to help formulate Gracenote point of view on timely topicsExperience developing compelling content to support general marketing initiatives including lead generationExperience developing and producing multimedia content, including videos and podcastsExperience in WordPress, SFMC, Adobe Creative Cloud, Google AnalyticsExperience publishing on social media platforms and assessing engagementHighly organized, great attention to detail and deadline drivenHave a roll up your sleeves and get it done attitude – it is not enough to have great ideas, you must be able to get stuff done Playing well with others is a must - we work as a teamAbility to work in a dynamic environment where project and priorities can arise and shiftAbility to navigate ambiguity and evolving dynamics with a structured approachExcited by generating and adopting new ways of workingOur comprehensive benefits package (including health & wellness plans for full-time employees, 401(k) retirement coupled with a Nielsen match, a generous paid time off policy, and if eligible, a discretionary incentive/bonus) is designed to be inclusive for all employees and families, and we take pride in ensuring that employees are rewarded holistically for the role they are doing and their performance.
A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $100,000 - $300,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications, and other business requirements/needs.
