Our Customer Insights team is at the forefront of our strategic objectives, delivering sharp, actionable insights that steer our strategic direction. We’re searching for a Senior Researcher to dissect and understand our member base and the competitive landscape. This role is not just about research; it's about shaping the future of our products and brand with every piece of insight you uncover.

You're expected to be versatile—a designer, moderator, observer, and reporter—owning various qualitative and competitive research projects from start to finish. Your voice will channel the customer's, influencing product roadmaps, innovation, and marketing strategies. Understanding our position in the market and identifying growth opportunities are key. What you’ll do:

  • Conduct qualitative and competitive research (IDIs, ethnographies, content analysis, competitive assessments) aligned with our Customer Insights strategy.
  • Analyze diverse qualitative data (social media, tickets, surveys, feedback) to assess member sentiment and market trends.
  • Manage internal, ongoing surveys (ex. NPS, CSAT, Product Adoption), including analysis and competitive benchmarking.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into research plans and objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings focused on customer insights.
  • Collaborate with quantitative research and intelligence teams to identify and validate trends.
  • Provide support for focus groups and customer advisory boards for testing new concepts.
  • Generate work products in the form of reports, research artifacts, presentations and dashboards. 
  • Constantly develop and refine methodologies for efficient insight gathering and analysis.
  • Create and execute adhoc polls and surveys.
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence profiles.
  • Ensure research integrity through rigorous methodological standards.

What you have:

  • Over 7 years leading qualitative or mixed-method research projects in market research, customer insights, or social sciences.
  • Advanced interview and moderation skills.
  • Proficient in qualitative research, evaluation methods, and competitive intelligence analysis.
  • Effective communicator capable of crafting compelling narratives, with the gravitas and confidence to influence senior leadership both in-person and remotely. 
  • Familiarity with quantitative research basics.
  • Preferably experienced in the Daily Fantasy Sports industry or related fields fostering sports fandom and loyalty.
  • Experience in project management, new business development, and proposal writing preferred. 
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience demonstrating comparable skills.
