PrizePicks is seeking a Sr. Social Media Manager to lead the development of the PrizePicks brand across all major and emerging social media platforms. The Sr. Social Media Manager will work closely with the Director of Social Media and be responsible for inspiring a team of social media managers, pioneering day-to-day social strategy, and driving engagement across all platforms.

What you’ll do:

  • That knows social, understands the sports and gaming fan, someone who knows how to develop a relationship on social with a member base that is engaged at every moment of the day.
  • Manage a team of platform specific social managers and oversee the day-to-day content calendar implementing best practices, following strategies to drive growth, engagement, and brand perception across all social platforms.
  • Is a social media architect, knowing how to build a presence across platforms that will resonate with our members and ultimately drive our business.
  • Keeps up to date on social trends and happenings, Gen Z culture, new social platforms, and the competitive landscape.
  • Who can analyze social data, prepare reports and insights, and optimize strategy based on results.
  • You are an ideas person and passionate about storytelling through social media and raising the level of excellence for creative ideation across the team. 
  • Collaborates with multiple department leads to organize product & campaign strategy development for the biggest moments on the sports calendar. 
  • Has a member first mentality and understands the nuances of navigating a passionate gaming & sports community.
  • Working hand in hand with our in-house content team (both on the creative and production side), analytics, and game operations team to ensure successful brand promotions and initiatives are executed in social. .
  • You may wonder how the team is organized and where this role sits: the social media team is part of the consumer engagement department (social + content), and reports into the Director of Social.

What you have:

  • 6+ years of experience in social media management for a consumer-facing brand in sports or entertainment.
  • You value long term community building over shock value.
  • You care about the difference between having something to say and having to say something.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of social media platforms from both a paid & organic perspective.
  • Experience in managing & inspiring a team of social media managers.
  • Flexible schedule that allows for availability during gametime windows (night, weekends, etc.).
  • Firm knowledge of sports categories, primarily NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, and Esports.
  • Ability to think creatively about content production around sports & execute those ideas.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Sprout Social or other social media management/listening tools is a plus.
