The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

Senior Associate, Mascot Asset Management

The Senior Associate, Mascot Asset Management will serve as the central hub for all mascot-related assets across the LA28 ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of creative production, brand governance, and operational delivery – ensuring that mascot assets are developed, versioned, and deployed accurately and efficiently across internal teams, venues, and partners. This role will partner closely with our external creative vendor and internal functional teams to manage a high volume of assets supporting pre-Games and Games-time execution at scale. 

The Senior Associate, Mascot Asset Management reports to the Director – Brand Strategy, Mascot, & Education 

Key Responsibilities

Asset Development & Agency Partnership 

  • Assist in management of activities with external studio vendor producing mascot assets (graphic, animated, and costume) 
  • Manage asset intake, feedback cycles, approvals, and final delivery across multiple workstreams 
  • Ensure all assets meet brand and technical standards 

Asset Management & Governance 

  • Implement and maintain LA28’s library of digital mascot assets 
  • Assist in the management of the establishment and ongoing adherence to naming conventions, version control, tagging systems 
  • Ensure internal teams and partners are accessing approved, up-to-date assets only 

Cross-Functional Coordination: 

  • Assist in the management of requests from internal teams for mascot assets across functional areas such as Comms, Digital Marketing, Partnerships, and Look & Signage 
  • Translate creative needs into clear asset requirements and timelines 

Venue & Production Integration: 

  • Partner with Sports Presentation and Venue teams to define technical specs for in-venue displays (screens, jumbotrons, and other formats) 
  • Coordinate with Look & Signage teams on asset adaptation and implementation across physical environments 

Workflow, Tracking & Reporting: 

  • Help build and manage scalable workflows for asset creation, approval, and distribution 
  • Administer and report tracking systems for assets in progress, asset requests from internal functional teams, delivery timelines, and usage across venues and teams 

Background & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of creative workflows, asset lifecycles, and file formats 
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of assets across multiple stakeholders and deadlines 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communications, with comfort in authentic and creative writing 
  • Ability to synthesize information and build decks from scratch 

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degreeor equivalent relevant work experience 

Expectations:

  • Minimum 4+years of experience in creative asset management, production, or creative operations 
  • Experience working in an agency environment or working with external creative partners on large-scale campaigns 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or equivalent  
  • Experience using collaborative asset management tools (such as SharepointBox, Smartsheet) 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions 

  • The position is located in Los Angeles with in-person attendance required
  • The LA28 office is an open floorplan workingenvironment,employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $95,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
