Our professional and semi-professional competitive tiers in League of Legends, VALORANT and other Esports involve thousands of players and hundreds of organizations competing every week.
This Esports Event Producer is responsible for providing operational and strategic program management across Global Esports Events (e.g., League Worlds and MSI, VAL Masters and Champs), as well as collaboration as needed with the regional leagues (e.g., LTA, LEC), across the Esports pillar, a fast-growing division at Riot started in 2009, with ~5x growth in fans over the last 7-8 years. The division currently spans five games, thousands of professional players, over 100M fans across the globe.
The Producer, Event Programs is responsible for being the event strategic planning bridge; working with Event Producers and internal stakeholders to drive strategic projects and programs that codify insights, build and share best practices, and document historical and current processes. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships internally and externally around programs that deepen fandom, drive cost efficiencies, and increase revenue opportunities. You will liaison between both the Valorant and League of Legends teams to support ongoing operational gaps and flex into changing business needs.
You will also be responsible for collaborating with a matrix of stakeholders to unite Riot’s ecosystem around Global Esports moments. Programs include but are not limited to ticketing and fan experience strategy, event briefing, location selection processes, partnerships pipeline, strategic insights, research studies, city/government relations, and various other operational efficiencies. This role will report to the Director of Global Esports Events Producers and will collaborate on executive presentations, distilling complex information into actionable insights.
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players.
