Sr Manager, Accreditation Delivery Partner Coordination:

The Accreditation (ACR) functional area identifies and registers all participants in the Olympic and Paralympic Games and facilitates their access into Games venues through the issuance of Olympic Identify and Accreditation Cards (OIACs), Paralympic Identify and Accreditation Cards (PIACs) and various other devices under the authority of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and International Paralympic Committee (IPC). 

The Senior Manager, Accreditation Delivery Partner Coordination will report to the Head of Accreditation and will lead the ACR sub-function for planning and engagement with federal, state, county and city authorities across all aspects of their involvement in the LA28 accreditation process. This will include the coordination of accreditation requirements for government partner operational workforce to access LA28 Games venues. 

Through coordination with internal functional areas including Government Relations (GOV), People Management (PEM), Security (SEC) and Legal (LGL), the Accreditation Delivery Partner Coordination team will plan and deliver the working level arrangements for eligible accredited populations to obtain visas and authorization to enter the host country, and the background check processing for all accredited populations. There will be a focus on providing all accredited participants with a seamless Games accreditation experience, while whilst maintaining high standards of inclusivity and integrity, and in line with the specifications defined by the IOC and IPC. 

Key Responsibilities

Background checks, visas and host country entry authorization: 

• Participate in working groups with relevant federal government partners to define and implement the background check and visa/entry processes for accredited Games participants. 
• Coordinate all required documentation and agreements related to the background check and visa/entry processes, including memoranda of understanding with government partners and data protection impact assessments. 
• ValidateAgree the data fields that accredited participants need to submit as part of their application for accreditation to allow the background check to be performed and/or visas/entry to be authorized. Collaborate with the Accreditation Systems team to implement data fields, validation rules, and business processes into the configuration of the accreditation system. Participate in testing and certification of the accreditation system. 
• Establish the background check and visa processing service levels (turnaround time between request submission and decision), prioritization protocols, and escalation channels with government partners. 
• Develop monitoring and reporting frequencies throughout the accreditation application and distribution processes to identify and resolve active issues and potential upcoming challenges. 
• Support the Games Family and Workforce stakeholder services sub-functions with external stakeholder communications and issue resolution related to the background check and visa/entry processes. 

Accreditation for government partners: 

• Collaborate with the Workforce Accreditation team to identify the federal, state, county and city government delivery partners that have operational activities within LA28 accredited venues. Capture the venue access needs and quantity of accreditations required by each organization for validation and approval by relevant LA28 functional areas. 
• Lead engagement with all government delivery partners regarding the process for obtaining OIACs/PIACs for their operational workforce, including onboarding to the online accreditation application system, support through the application submission process, and distribution of the OIACs/PIACs ahead of Games-time. 

Games-time operations: 

• Provide accredited participants with high-quality and inclusive customer service and experience, whilewhilst ensuring that all LA28, IOC and IPC accreditation policies and procedures are implemented and followed, notably maintaining integrity of the accreditation process as a contributor to the security of the Games. 
• Establish and maintain consistent levels of service and resolution of issues related to background checks, visas/entry, and accreditations issued to government partner organizations. 
• Provide support to the Head of Accreditation and functional area command center as necessary. 

Background & Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in government relations, visa facilitation, or related roles. 
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful government affairs strategies/projects. 
• Experience working in a corporate, non-profit, or government setting. 
• Demonstrated knowledge of local, national, and international government and legislative processes. 
• Experience working in federal government preferred. 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. 
• Fluent working with Office suite products including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel. 
• Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making.

Education:

• Master’s degree or relevant work experience required 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Ability to work on-site in an office environment, based in Los Angeles, CA 
• The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment 
• Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed. 
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, particularly leading up to and during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which may require flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends. 

The annual base salary range for this position is $115,000.00 - $140,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
