What You Will Do
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Ecommerce to lead and optimize Tonal’s online presence and sales channels. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance user experience, drive online sales growth, and increase customer engagement. Collaborating cross-functionally with teams including Marketing, Creative, Performance Media, Analytics, and Product, you will ensure that Tonal’s digital platforms effectively represent our brand and meet our business objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead Site Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive site strategy, including ongoing enhancements and a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) testing roadmap, to improve website effectiveness and user experience.
Merchandising: Regularly update and merchandise the website to ensure content relevance, freshness, and alignment with marketing campaigns and product launches.
Data Integration & Personalization: Enhance data collection and personalization capabilities to improve customer experience (CX) and conversion rates (CVR), leveraging insights to tailor content and offers.
Web Support Management: Oversee front-end and back-end web operations, including the management of third-party vendors and platforms. Experience with Shopify CMS is highly desirable.
Online Marketplace Development: Lead the development and management of an online marketplace, establishing partnerships and strategies to expand Tonal’s digital ecosystem.
Blog Development: Spearhead the development and integration of Tonal's online blog, focusing on driving organic traffic through SEO and supporting the overall health and wellness of Tonal members.
Digital Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the digital marketing team to optimize online campaigns, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media strategies, to drive traffic and sales.
Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to monitor and analyze website performance, user behavior, and sales data, generating reports to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.
Customer Journey Optimization: Enhance the online customer journey by implementing user experience (UX) improvements, ensuring a seamless and engaging path from landing page to checkout.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of ecommerce professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
7+ years of experience in ecommerce management, preferably within the tech or retail sectors
Proven track record of developing and executing successful ecommerce strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance customer experience
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
Experience with ecommerce platforms, particularly Shopify, and familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and mentoring high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Passion for health, wellness, and fitness is a plus.
Extra Credit
Experience in managing digital marketplaces and understanding of marketplace dynamics.
Background in direct-to-consumer (DTC) fitness, health tech, or premium consumer brands.
Expertise in content strategy, SEO, and blog/informational content integration.
Familiarity with emerging ecommerce technologies and trends, with the ability to assess and implement new tools to enhance the online experience.
