About the Role

Peloton is looking for a Senior Manager, Promotion Strategy, who will be responsible for the design and development of discounting strategies and promotional programs across Peloton's markets and distribution channels. This role sits within the Marketing organization, and will directly impact Peloton's revenue growth and Member acquisition efforts across the Connected Fitness portfolio (hardware products) and subscription services. Partnering with experts on a wide variety of teams (Brand & Consumer Marketing, Consumer Insights, Financial Planning & Analysis, Ecommerce, Legal, etc.), you’ll manage the annual global promotion strategy across key consumer holidays, maximizing incremental growth on a year-over-year basis. 

This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our promotional activities are market-leading and financially impactful. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for actively managing promotion performance and serving as the subject matter expert on all promotional activity. This includes analyzing performance, reporting out results to executive leadership, and using data-driven insights to determine the strategic direction of future promotions and ensuring continuous optimization. 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Discounting Strategy & Planning: Develop and manage a comprehensive discounting strategy that aligns with overall business objectives for revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and retention. Ensure continuity and cohesion across first party and third party promotion plans. 
  • Promotional Program Design: Lead the strategic design of promotional campaigns, bundles, and offers across various channels and customer segments (e.g., holiday promotions, loyalty programs, new customer incentives). Partner with Marketing Analytics and Finance to analyze financial models, distill key insights and build leadership-facing business cases with financial metrics.
  • Performance Measurement & Optimization: Define key metrics, and partner with Marketing Analytics and Finance to analyze the performance of all promotional activities (e.g., incrementality, ROI, margin impact), and derive actionable insights for continuous optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner effectively with Marketing Analytics, Demand Forecasting & Insights, Finance, Ecommerce, Legal, and other teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment of promotional initiatives.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor promotional activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and risks.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 6+ years of work experience in a related role; 4+ in consulting, financial institutions, product marketing, brand management, full stack marketing or strategy roles
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA a plus
  • Experience with cross-functional teams in innovative, fast-paced tech environments particularly in executing global projects with many stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset, comfortable interpreting and guiding decisions based on forecast and pricing analyses, historical performance, and other data points 
  • Understanding of or experience in technology companies and/or subscription services a plus
  • Strong communication and case-building skills with comfort influencing exec level, cross-functional teams and presenting to executive stakeholders
  • Familiarity with both acquisition and subscription data; proven data-first approach to building programs and solving business needs
  • Multi-dimensional skillset, including: tactical planning, strategic execution, cross-functional relationship management, analytical and quant skills; excel & powerpoint (or equivalent) expertise a must
  • Forward-thinking, organized, and detail-oriented; proactive mindset and desire to contribute to the team strategically and executionally

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$168,750$207,300 USD
