The Strategy Manager is responsible for driving insights through research and analytics to assist in the execution of the organization’s year-round business strategy. This position will play a large part in the success of the organization by leading long-term organizational projects focused on supporting corporate partnerships, Marketing, and the fan experience.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (including, but not limited to):
The Strategy Manager position will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation, the following:

  • Be a strong, actionable link between the Business Strategy & Analytics team and internal departments with a heavy focus on Corporate Partnerships, Communications, Marketing and Fan Engagement Team’s
  • Manage analytic measurement and research for business development opportunities, with a large focus in corporate partnerships
  • Assist in the creation of proposals/recap presentations for corporate partners
  • Assist with key reporting functions, forecasting for all revenue departments
  • Conduct surveys and research to identify business development opportunities
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to maximize data capture and utilization through business initiatives
  • Develop reports and automated dashboards based on underlying code for leadership
  • Comply with all departmental CRM and guidelines to ensure information is accurate, deliverables are tracked and fulfilled, and account information is up to date
  • Collaborate daily with members of the Strategy & Analytics Team

NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop clear and actionable research for business development teams
  • Construct and manage new innovative projects to drive incremental revenue opportunities
  • Import and audit data for various initiatives in the Data Warehouse
  • Assist in driving the Lions international market strategy, primarily focused on brand measurement and commercialization strategy
  • Analyze marketing needs of prospects and present findings to internal teams
  • Monitor external market analysis trends and bring best practices to our programs
  • Maintain an appropriate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and of web tools and software
  • Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully and develop solutions quickly and effectively
  • Create reporting dashboards to assist in day to day tracking of business
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Will accept other responsibilities and duties required by the supervisor consistent with the objectives and essential functions of this position

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree (MBA) preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in research, analytics or strategy
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM & Marketing Cloud
  • Experience with SQL and Python
  • Experience in Corporate Partnerships or other Business-to-Business related areas preferred
  • Experience with Qlik Sense or another data visualization tool preferred
  • Team oriented approach, relationship building skills, and ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Strength in time management, administrative ability, organization, and customer service skills
  • Strong PowerPoint skills required, with preferred experience constructing presentations for executive leadership levels
  • Strong proficiency in Excel including experience with vlookups, pivot tables and general data manipulation while providing insight and solution-based recommendations of the data
  • Will adjust schedule as needed to meet work goals and time constraints, including working nights, weekends, and holidays as football schedule directs
  • May require work out of both the Ford Field Management Office and the Allen Park Training Facility
