As a Community Apprentice - Software Engineer Intern, you will work on the Lua-based systems and infrastructure that power the Roblox client and studio applications. You'll be part of a world-class team that is revolutionizing the entertainment industry and empowering millions of players worldwide. During this 12-week apprenticeship, we'll support you as you tackle the hardest problems in tech today – distributed systems, real-time communication, 3D co-experience, extensive data processing, social networking, rendering, physics.

You Have:

• Proficiency with Lua/Luau and building on Roblox
• Passion for contributing to the Roblox development community
• Excitement for building both Lua/Luau-based libraries, foundational layers, and user interfaces
• No serious or recent moderations incidents and are at least 18-years old

You Will:

• Design, code, test, and debug features in the Lua-based layers of the Roblox client and studio applications
• Ship code to production and improve the Roblox ecosystem "from the inside"
• Report to a team that owns an important area of the Lua-based Roblox front-end stack.
