As an integral part of the Learfield Studios team and initiative, the Supervising Producer, is an extremely important role on the corporate team that uses in-depth creative and content knowledge built by years of experience to develop, produce and shoot multiple content-driven executions for the corporate sales team as well as manage new content initiatives. Working closely with the centralized (New York) team of Head of Content, Branded Content and Post Production Manager, the Supervising Producer will serve as the main point of contact for LEARFIELD schools that do not have a dedicated content resource, collaborating closely with the athletic departments, LEARFIELD property teams, and local production experts to create and execute project based work for national clients as well as local clients. All towards the goal of increasing fan engagement as well as generating revenue opportunities for local and national Learfield sales staff.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collaborate closely with the Branded Content Team to drive the ideation, development, and execution of national campaigns. Manage production budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high-quality standards. Oversee all aspects of production management, from initial concept through to final delivery, coordinating with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration of branded content across various platforms and channels
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming local branded content projects at LEARFIELD properties without dedicated content or production staff. Efficiently field and manage these projects, overseeing their development from concept to completion. Coordinate with local teams to ensure that branded content aligns with both client objectives and property standards, while handling logistics, resource allocation, and quality control throughout the production process
  • Lead the management and development of innovative content models, with a particular focus on the newly introduced creator model. This involves empowering content creation through strategic collaboration and the use of user-friendly tools, such as iPhone camera packages and remote post-production resources. Oversee the implementation of these tools, ensuring they facilitate efficient and high-quality content production. Continuously refine and adapt the creator model to enhance its effectiveness and streamline the content creation process
  • Advise on optimal content strategy and plan to increase fan engagement, hit key athletics priorities, and generate revenue locally & nationally
  • When needed, have the ability to shoot, produce and edit projects as a soup to nuts content creator
  • Utilize data, content trends, and creative expertise to develop LEARFIELD Studios content strategy and proactive full-year content calendar
  • Pitch directly to clients and internal partners and serve as a point of contact for select LEARFIELD Schools
  • Generate and execute ideas for brand integration video series for local and national sales and attend client pitches and productions
  • Ensure that the quality of our content is always at the highest possible level within budget and schedule constraints
  • Work collaboratively with necessary departments, internally and externally, to ensure all agreed upon deliverables are provided
  • Optimize distribution and promotion of content and use data as your co-creative director to fine-tune the creative strategy
  • Own communication with Athletics, SIDs, Coaches, Assistant and Deputy ADs to produce series and integrate athletics priorities into content strategy
  • Manage pre-sale content presentations including estimated performance, distribution strategy, and creative synopsis
  • Manage the tracking and evaluation of performance of all campaigns to create and present recaps to partners, sales, and leadership

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in the sports or entertainment industry focused on creating, writing, producing and directing video content
  • Must have previous experience with shooting and directing video
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present concepts and strategies to executive leadership
  • Passion for and extensive experience in storytelling to drive engagement with fans/audience
  • Sports and/or entertainment experience is a must
  • Ability to own and produce projects and communicate with external partners as main point of contact
  • Experience working with digital, short-form video, social & influencer-driven content. Narrative storytelling a plus
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multiple people across a variety of projects
  • Direct experience with content creation pipelines
  • Must have a firm understanding of all aspects of production, including production equipment, lighting techniques, cameras/lenses, audio, guiding the work from production through post when necessary
  • Must be able to write pitch materials, pre-production plans, and present to internal and external partners
  • Ability to generate and execute new ideas and concepts that might align with a project’s initiatives
  • Creativity in deciding how an idea will be interpreted and representing the idea in execution
  • Must contribute to and thrive in a high energy, high profile, positive, proactive, deadline driven, results oriented, and attention to detail environment
  • Strong administrative, critical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize many projects at one time in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and precise in his/her work

Pay Transparency

The approximate base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $115,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience as well as geographic location.
