Location: NYC Studio, onsite for all production days (7:30am-3:30pm)

Salary: $60-75/ Hour; 40 hours/ week.

Status: Temporary role

Contract via TCW: Approx April 1 - June 15 with potential to transition to Full Time immediately following

Overview

Tonal is seeking an experienced Supervising Producer to lead day-to-day studio production and oversee a growing team of producers. This role is responsible for ensuring creative excellence, operational efficiency and consistent execution across all in-studio content.

Reporting to the Director, Production and Studio Operations, the Supervising Producer will own non-technical studio workflows from pre-production through delivery, manage personnel and serve as the backbone of Tonal’s in-house production environment. This role blends creative leadership with strong operational rigor and production practices. Please note this role is a contracting role assigned to Tonal, while the employer of record is TCW.


Who You Are

  • Proven operational leader with 8+ years of experience producing and/or directing premium video content at a brand, studio, network, or agency, including management of producers or equivalent teams

  • Deep expertise in studio-based production operations, with hands-on experience overseeing teams and day-to-day execution

  • Extensive experience working with a wide range of on-camera talent, from first-time talent to high-profile and celebrity talent, ensuring positive outcomes and experiences

  • Strong ability to evaluate and operationalize creative concepts, translating creative vision into scalable, repeatable production processes for a premium brand. This includes cross-functional partnership and ownership for various content types

  • Calm, decisive, and highly organized under pressure, with a track record of managing multiple concurrent productions, tight timelines and shifting priorities

  • Experience operating within the fitness, sports, or wellness industry, with an understanding of fast-paced, performance-driven content environments

On-the-Ground Leadership

  • Accountable for daily in-studio production for workouts and special content, keeping production teams on task and operating smoothly, solving problems as they arise

  • Oversee creative execution, ensuring fitness programming goals are delivered on camera and delivering Member-first experiences

  • Partner with Director of Content Production & Studio Operations and Sr. Manager of Talent and Performance to execute the Content Roadmap while meeting strategic Content team initiatives

  • Ensure consistent, on-time, on-budget delivery as production scales, executing workflows and working to improve operations

  • Learn Director/Producer workflows to fully support improvements and providing feedback

Team Management

  • Support 3-5 roles including Director/Producers and Segment Producers, providing leadership, mentorship and performance feedback. Manage sub contractors on an add needed basis.

  • Assign producers and directors across live and non-live productions based on needs and strengths

  • Foster strong Producer–Talent relationships to drive high-quality content and a positive culture

Creative & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key lead on the Production and Studio Ops team, collaborating with technical and operations leads to manage all day-to-day operations and problem solving

  • Produce and Direct high-visibility shoots as needed, taking the creative lead across teams to bring creative ideas to life onstage (photoshoots, promos, product assets)

  • Collaborate with Content Leads and Marketing partners to align production with brand goals. Partner with Post-Production team throughout production and post processes to see units and special productions through delivery.
