The Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant will support various aspects of the supply chain and logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, and customer service, while also assisting with the coordination of transportation and distribution processes. This role requires basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to facilitate various administrative tasks and reporting duties.

This is a full-time permanent position at our office in central Manchester, on St Anne's Square. We offer hybrid working, with 3 days working in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Tasks:

  • New Supplier Onboarding: Assist in the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Supplier Relationship Development: Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, encouraging collaboration and growth.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain and logistics function, contributing to the ongoing development and refinement of best practices.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Proactively monitor inventory levels of products, promptly addressing shortages and managing slow-moving stock to minimize disruptions and maximize efficiency.
  • Cost Optimization: Support cost management initiatives by analysing quotations, prices, and terms from suppliers, and making recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on key supply chain metrics and performance indicators.
  • Procurement Coordination: Strategize, execute, and oversee all aspects of sourcing and procurement of products, ensuring timely availability and adherence to quality standards.
  • Intercompany Transfers: Collaborate with gyms, warehouses, and logistics departments to facilitate seamless transfers of products, ensuring accurate inventory management and delivery.
  • Cost-Effective Distribution: Collaborate with freight forwarders to identify the optimal distribution solutions for transporting finished products, focusing on cost-effectiveness without compromising service quality.
  • Purchase Order Management: Handle the creation and management of purchase orders, ensuring everything is documented correctly.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing product and service inquiries related to products, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
