OVERVIEW:

Are you our next Systems Accountant? The Systems Accountant will be responsible for monitoring the financial systems of the business and ensuring their efficiency, beginning with our ERP (Netsuite). This will include working closely with our platform team to resolve outstanding issues, implement system improvements and manage future projects and requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Work with the platform team to ensure financial data in our ERP is accurate at all times, reconciling from multiple sources where necessary.
• Take ownership of key accounting balances, including stock, monitoring discrepancies and working with the platform team to identify root cause and resolve.
• Work closely with finance and platform teams to identify upcoming business changes.
• Assess impact for the finance team, scope out process adjustments and implement changes required to facilitate upcoming changes within financial systems.
• Complete UAT for relevant changes to ensure smooth implementation.
• Work closely with MI team to develop reports, dashboards and other tools to deliver financial reporting to the business in an accessible and digestible format.
• Manage controls within finance systems for current and future processes to ensure these are robust.
• Review, update and maintain financial systems policies and procedures.
• Support with annual external audit, including keeping up to date documentation regarding IT controls.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on financial systems and processes.
• Strong proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
• Experience working with major accounting or ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skillsAbility to adapt well to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Professional accounting certification, such as ACCA, or CIMA.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulations, such as GAAP, IFRS

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:

• Experience in system implementation, upgrades, or conversions.
• Experience in project management or process improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Netsuite / Oracle experience.
• Inter-company experience.

This role is open to remote workers and those who align with our Hybrid 2-3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK. (Please note DBS check will be required for successful applicants before receiving contract)
