Position Summary:

The Temporary Systems Specialist assists with the maintenance and development of financial planning solution. The incumbent is responsible for providing system support for end-users and designing, creating and maintaining reports, templates, user accounts and permissions.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide ongoing user support, troubleshooting errors, fixing mapping and formula error on reports and financial input templates; escalating issues to vendor when necessary.
  • Help create and maintain FP&A reports and input templates as directed by manager to help with maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain hierarchies and process cycles in Financial Planning Systems by learning and studying the logic and rules to maintain the system.
  • Work with management to gain clear knowledge of training methods and assist with creation and maintenance of training manuals and documentation. Perform basic training for end users as needed.  
  • Assist system users with testing when rolling out new features/reports/templates.
  • Create new process cycles, upload new version data, and maintain data integrity.
  • Create and maintain user accounts.
  • Complete ad hoc projects as needed and/or directed.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Business/Accounting/Computer Science/Information Systems
  • A minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SQL or Hyperion Essbase is a plus
  • Previous experience in a support role preferred
  • Knowledge of financial planning systems (like Vena, Longview, etc.) and understanding of OLAP and relational databases are a plus

Pay Scale: $22.49-$32.80
