Role: Talent Partner

Salary: £40,000-£50,000

Closing Date: 31st January we will close and review all applications

We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year, reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!

We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.

Who we’re looking for

To help us scale, we’re looking for an experienced Talent Partner who can juggle high-volume recruitment across a variety of disciplines while maintaining our top-tier employer brand. If you're a recruiter who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves connecting with people, and can see the bigger picture in talent acquisition, we want YOU to join the team!

You will be part of the growing People and Talent Team based in London.

What You'll Be Doing:

Owning the Recruitment Process: You’ll manage the full hiring cycle for multiple roles across different teams, from marketing and sales to engineering and operations. Whether it’s sourcing, interviewing, or offering, you’ll be the driving force behind our recruitment efforts.

Strategising with Hiring Managers: You’ll work closely with hiring managers across the business to understand their teams’ needs, and provide them with clear guidance on the best ways to attract and assess top talent.

Champion Candidate Experience: We want candidates to have a killer experience from the first point of contact. You’ll make sure our values, culture, and mission are reflected at every stage of the recruitment process.

Sourcing Talent: You’ll be using your creative sourcing techniques (job boards, social media, networking, referrals, etc.) to find a variety of top candidates who align with our company’s vision and needs.

Interviewing and Assessing: You’ll be responsible for evaluating candidates on both their technical ability and cultural fit, ensuring that we continue to hire people who align with Runna’s values.

Data-Driven Recruiting: You’ll analyse recruitment metrics to make sure we’re hitting our goals and continuously improving our strategies. It’s all about being efficient and effective!

Requirements

In this role, you’ll be spinning plates like a pro, juggling roles, deadlines, and priorities without breaking a sweat. You’ll thrive in our fast-moving, ever-changing environment where pivoting is practically a sport. If you’re passionate about people and excited to bring the best talent into the business, you’ll fit right in. Plus, you’ll team up with brilliant people across the business to make great things happen—collaboration is the name of the game!

If you don’t quite meet all of the below experience, we’d still love to hear from you as we might be able to tweak the role slightly or offer you a position better suited for you. You can apply directly below or contact us if you’re still unsure.

  • Proven experience in high-volume talent acquisition across a variety of functions (ideally in a tech or startup environment). You should be comfortable handling a fast-paced and evolving workload, with an eye for detail.
  • You’ve got a strong understanding of how to build and promote an employer brand that attracts top-tier candidates, while keeping things authentic and true to the company’s culture.
  • You love connecting with people, building relationships with candidates, and working alongside hiring managers to truly understand their needs. Your communication skills are great, both written and verbal.
  • You’re familiar with using recruitment software, applicant tracking systems, and all the tools that make recruiting easier and more efficient.
  • You’ve got a proactive mindset and are always looking for ways to optimise the recruitment process. You can pivot quickly and handle multiple priorities at once, while keeping everything on track.
  • You genuinely care about finding the best people for the team, and are excited to help candidates find their perfect role within our company.

Interview process

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Introductory chat with Emily, Talent Lead (45 minute video call)
  2. Interview with Milly, Head of People (30 minutes video call)
  3. In person task & final round (Office visit) with Emily, Milly & Kerri and wider-team meet & chat with Josh (COO) Holly (CoS).

Once the process is finished, we promise to let you know our decision as soon as possible.

Benefits

We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:
