Let's start with the role:

This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the Group’s Tax team. The Tax Director will oversee a group of Finance and Tax specialists who are responsible to follow the tax legislation, mitigate tax risks, offer expert tax guidance and ensure high quality in tax accounting and reporting across multiple international jurisdictions. Responsibilities will involve handling complex topics of tax accounting & reporting according to IFRS as well as leading the design and implementation of the group’s tax strategy. You will collaborate closely with regional tax teams, the broader global finance organization, along with external tax advisors.

As a Tax Director you will:

  • Lead and facilitate the expansion of an international team consisting of Finance and Tax Professionals. 
  • Collaborate closely with the CFO to formulate the Group Tax strategy within a dynamic group structure. 
  • Oversee the timely processing of the group's tax filings through the tax compliance system and initiate corresponding actions.
  • Address internal and external stakeholders’ queries regarding Indirect and Withholding Taxes and identify any potential risks associated with updated transactions.
  • Support complex projects concerning tax accounting & reporting under IFRS, especially in connection with M&A projects.
  • Lead the Group’s preparation and readiness for OECD Pillar II and the publication of CbCR.
  • Evaluate and provide insights on pricing for intercompany arrangements.
  • Support compliance procedures for group-level transfer pricing, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements and including documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with both internal/external auditors’ teams and tax advisors.

 

What you’ll bring:

 

  • A minimum of twelve years of relevant working experience in a Senior role within an international auditing/legal firm or in the corporate tax department of an international company.
  • Proven track record in managing diverse and international teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Tax, or Auditing.
  • Possession of ADIT or a similar qualification will be considered an asset.
