Let’s Start with the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Specialist to join our global tax team at Kaizen Gaming. This role will be responsible for overseeing Indirect Tax parts and Controlling, as well as tax compliance processes across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will support tax reporting, compliance, and global expansion initiatives while ensuring adherence to evolving international tax regulations.

• Ensure accurate indirect tax reporting during month-end close;
• Monitor indirect tax compliance (VAT, GST, digital services taxes), including accurate filings, reconciliations, and timely payments across jurisdictions
• Ensuring compliance with Indirect Tax guidelines and regulatory requirements;
• Collaborate with external tax advisors to review indirect tax returns and compliance filings across 20+ countries;
• Monitor and interpret global tax legislation changes, ensuring internal compliance with new rules.

• Extract and analyze ERP system data (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) for tax reporting;
• Provide guidance to internal finance teams on indirect tax-related matters;
• Support tax audits and liaise with authorities to address inquiries;
• Work with Group auditors and internal stakeholders to maintain tax compliance.
• Maintain robust documentation and internal controls related to indirect tax processes and filings.

• Actively contribute to the Group’s budgeting process from a tax perspective;
• Support indirect tax optimization strategies and drive process automation initiatives.
• Advise on indirect tax implications of new business models, international expansion, and product launches.

What you’ll bring: 

• BSc in Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration;
• MSc in Economics or Taxation (preferred);
• Professional certifications (e.g., CTA, ACA) are a plus;
• 7-9 years of professional experience in tax controlling, international tax, or transfer pricing;
• Background in a multinational environment or audit/consulting firm is preferred;
• Experience in the online business sector is an advantage;
• Practical experience in indirect tax compliance and advisory across multiple jurisdictions;
• Strong knowledge of international indirect tax regulations;
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central) and tax automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Deloitte’s Pillar 2 & CbCR systems);
• Understanding of financial accounting principles and IFRS/GAAP tax reporting;
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality tax analysis and reporting;
• Self-motivated and proactive in problem-solving;
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in a multicultural environment;
• Passionate about process improvements and automation in tax reporting.
