About the Role

Gracenote is building a team of entertainment information experts and data specialists to support our music products and services. We are looking for a Team Lead for the Music Enrichment team located in Mexico, which covers a variety of US, Latin and European music and audio markets. The Team Lead, Music Enrichment will act as people manager and editorial expert for the Music Editorial team located in Mexico, and work in coordination with the leadership of the Music Content team.

Responsibilities

Manages associate goals/expectations, performance reviews, performance improvement including one on ones and check-ins

Acts a local subject matter expert for music concerns, coordinating responses and feedback from subject matter experts on the team

Coordination with Music content leadership across other regions as needed

Provides coverage solutions for holiday seasons, PTO or sick leave

Active leader of the team - makes sure to communicate changes/updates to the team, makes sure they are heard - communicates towards upper management.

Works on creating a motivating and engaging environment

Develop short-term and long-term goals in support of management objectives, monitor progress, and redirect action plans as necessary

Resolves discrepancies and ensures product quality, takes part in meetings and executes on ad hoc requests

Proactively identify and implement efficiencies to improve workflows within the team/department.

Participate in developing operational requirements for process changes.

Produces quality and performance metrics

Ensures quality checks are performed

Ensures performance metrics are consistently met

Coordinate training for new staff members or to refresh skill sets of the editorial team

Participates with leadership in recruitment and interviews of potential new staff

Qualifications

Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish, additional languages (especially French, Italian and Portuguese a plus)

Good Leadership/Influencing skills

Good Coordination skills

Good Communication skills (Verbal and Written English skills)

Knowledge of Google Suite

Demonstrated understanding of the current state of the digital/streaming music business, previous experience with the radio industry or related media industry job is a plus

Fluency/familiarity with languages other than English and Spanish is a plus

Experience with databases and other technological infrastructure is a plus BA/BS degree preferred, or substantial equivalent experience
