At Roblox, we are looking for a Technical Writer who is passionate about scaling safety enablement and enabling high-performing cross-functional partnerships. This role will be instrumental in shaping how we operate and evolve our global safety documentation and support processes. 

Reporting to the Manager – Safety Enablement, you will work closely with Legal, Policy, Product, and Training to drive process excellence across our documentation ecosystem. You’ll optimize documentation delivery, standardize key processes, and help us meet the needs of a rapidly growing global community.

You will

• Be an advocate for our users, guardians, and creators, making the product better as well as deliver best-in-class documentation.
• Write technical documentation such as conceptual and task-based feature guides and tutorials.
• Learn and use products and features to develop community supporting documentation.
• Create and maintain processes for supporting documentation updates including technical modifications to highly visible materials in line with document owner requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues impacting documentation across platforms including multiple supported languages.
• Help drive better information architecture and community experiences with cross functional teams such as Localization, Engineering, Legal, Operations,Product, and Design.

What you need to be successful

• A BA/BS degree in Technical Communications or equivalent, and 3+ years of equivalent experience
• Experience with content management systems, web hosting and customization (including HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and documentation version control.
• Drive and passion to learn new technical concepts
• Technical aptitude and a great eye for taking complex concepts and distilling them into great documentation.
• The ability to drive large docsets to completion, where no processes or standards exist.
• Self-motivated and directed. You’ll be expected to solve problems that people aren’t aware of and challenge others’ ideas where appropriate.
• A great attitude, team-first sensibilities, and ability to deliver on time.
• Bonus: Familiarity with developer platforms, legal content workflows, localization/translation management, and future-proofing documentation infrastructure.
