Job Overview

Wargaming is looking for a Technical Game Designer to work on World of Warships project in our Belgrade office. 

World of Warships is an action MMO that plugs players into intense naval combat. We’re looking for a Game Designer to bring our game ships to life! This role involves defining armor, armament, ships movement, and other key parameters, as well as working with buildings and more.

Reports to

Content GD Team Lead

What will you do?

• Initial setup of game entities (ships, armaments, buildings, etc.)
• Creating technical documentation and keeping it up to date
• Reading drawings, drafting technical specifications, and entering information
• Improvement, automation of processes and active participation in interaction with Balance team and other departments

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in technical disciplines, with experience in software development
• English – B2 or higher
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Knowledge and experience of work with Excel and/or Google Sheets
• Analytical thinking, curiosity, and patience
• Experience with: Python and any version control systems

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Deep knowledge and experience in playing World of Warships will be a huge advantage
• Game industry experience
• Knowledge and passion for ship design
• Knowledge and experience with 3D applications or game engines
• Experience in active online PC gaming
• Advanced Russian language skills

Work mode

Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office)
